ST. JUDE HALL OF HEROES

Facebook and St. Jude have come together to create a virtual reality experience for the Oculus Quest and Rift headsets that celebrates the stories of survivors of childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases — real patients who fought for their lives.

Facebook asked Flight School to collaborate with four agencies to develop virtual reality experiences for St. Jude that would drive positive social change in the world. Ultimately BBDO’s campaign “Hall of Heroes” was a selection for the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Flight School artists met 12 patients and used their stories as inspiration to create heroic statues, each fifty feet tall in virtual reality. Our engineers developed a special space, called the Hall of Heroes where anyone can visit the statues and hear the personal stories behind each one.

Everyone can watch a 360° trailer of the experience on Facebook today. St. Jude Hall of Heroes can be experienced in VR at select Best Buy locations beginning December 2019 and will be available on Oculus TV in February 2020.
